Colour that becomes part of the material.

How is an all-over team design made? Explore sublimation printing, suitable materials and key choices for jerseys, Crew wear and merchandise.

01

How the process works

Sublimation uses heat to transfer prepared artwork onto a suitable material. On suitable polyester textiles, the colour bonds with the fibres. Coated items such as mugs or certain phone cases need a surface made for this process. The result therefore always depends on the specific material and product.

02

What all-over means for your design

All-over describes a design that covers a large area of an item. On suitable garments, the layout is adapted to the individual pattern pieces. The front, back and sleeves can share one colour palette. Important artwork needs space from seams, hems, zips and other joins.

03

Colour areas, patterns and clear hierarchy

A strong main colour, a visible logo and repeating graphic elements give the design structure. Too many equally sized elements compete for attention. Check the impression from a distance first, then the details. Adjusting the logo size may be useful on smaller kids' sizes.

04

Not all jerseys are the same

Cut, fabric blend and weight differ between crew-neck, V-neck, women's and youth models. Crew hoodies and Crew joggers also use different fabrics. A shared graphic connects the look, but each model's details remain essential when choosing.

05

What to agree on in advance

Bring your logo, team colours and any additional elements you want. Player names, numbers and sponsor text are agreed for the specific model and design order. A mockup helps assess placement and the overall effect. Screen display, material and production can affect how colours appear.

06

Care and long-term use

Follow the care instructions for the specific decorated product. Gentle cleaning and avoiding harsh substances help preserve the material and design. Garments need different care from mugs or phone cases; the printing method alone does not determine one universal care routine.
